Edward L. Cannon, 80, of Rockford passed away Aug. 30, 2009, in Alma Nelson Manor. Born Dec. 18, 1928, in Delaplaine, Ark., son of Arthur and Zella (Gray) Cannon.
Served with the U.S. Marines.
He loved to walk, ride his bike and especially spending time with his family.
Survivors include sons, Mark (Laura) of Elgin and Brian of Arkansas; daughters, Deborah Herren and Cheryl (Jim) Coffman of Louisiana; grandchildren, Gregory, Michael, Crystal, Cheray, Abby, James and Michael; great-grandchildren, Natalee and Alyssa; sisters, Enid Thomen and Jean Tate, both of Arkansas.
Predeceased by parents and son, Michael.
Memorial service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 2, in Victory Homes, 56 Senate Drive, Rockford. Arrangements by Honquest Family Funeral Home with Crematory, Rockford Chapel.
