In 1815, the family relocated to Pulaski Co., GA, settling near Shellstone Creek in what is now Bleckley Co., GA. Jordan died in 1822, and Mary lost some of her property to settle his debts.
In 1833, Robert moved west of the Ocmulgee River, supposedly with only 2 female slaves. On Jan. 23, 1835, Robert married Sallie Wooten of Monroe Co. They had 13 children while he built a successful farming operation.
He died after several days of "intense illness".
