KUNST, Rosemary Theresa - Age 70, presumed deceased (August 2000) after an exhaustive search by the Siskiyou county Sheriff's Search & Rescue, assisted by the Marin, Del Norte, and Shasta County Search & Rescue in the rugged Marble Mt. Wilderness Area located in Siskiyou County where she disappeared while participating in a weeklong backpacking retreat.

Rosemary T. Kunst of San Anselmo was born 1 November 1929 to Ernest and Thelma Behm in San Francisco. She is survived by her siblings; Erna Banks, Joseph Behm, Elizabeth Bieber, Madalin Dennin, Marie Dreschsler, and Cecile McCann. She is also survived by over 100 nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Clare Cuffe.

Rosemary married Charles (Bud) Kunst on 9 September 1950 at St. Anselm's Catholic Church in San Anselmo. She is survived by her children Pauline McIntosh, John Kunst, Claire Cericola, Chris Kunst; their spouses, and 11 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Bud and son Ronald.

She shared her love of nature and the beauty of the world with her husband, children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, church community, and friends. She was a practicing marriage and family counselor. Her deep connection with the spirit was recognized and appreciated by all and expressed through her poetry, flower arrangements, massage therapy, organic gardens, and creative ritual. The legacy of her journey, love, sensitive nature, expansive spirit, caring embrace, and healing energy are gifts to be treasured.

The family invites you to share in "A Celebration of Rosemary on Tuesday, 5 September 2000 at 2 p.m. at St. Anselm's Church followed by a reception.
