Cecile J. McCann, age 87, widow of Dr. William J. McCann, passed away Sunday, December 14, 2003 in Pleasanton. Dr. and Mrs. McCann lived for many of their 52 years together in San Francisco and Marin County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. McCann, and three sisters, Marie Drechsler, Claire Cuffe, and Rosemary Kunst. She is survived by her seven children: Peter McCann, Paula Bowse, Timothy McCann, Carolyn Jennings, Mark McCann, Jeffrey McCann, and Barbara McCann; by her three sisters, Madelin Dennin, Erna Banks, and Betty Biber; her brother, Joseph Behm; nine grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Services will be held at St. Rita Catholic Church in Fairfax on Saturday, December 20, 2003 at 11:00 AM. Charitable donations may be made in Cecile McCann's name to the Alzheimers Daycare and Resource Center at Mt. Diablo Center, 490 Golf Club Road, Pleasant Hill, CA 94523.
