Alma Lee (Norwood) Jones passed away April 23, 2012, at the age of 98. Alma was born October 10, 1913, to Andrew "Andy" Jackson Norwood, Jr. and Leila Jackson Norwood, in Midland, Texas. Andy Norwood was a respected lawman in Midland for many years. Her husband, Denzil Dale Jones, Sr.; and sons, Denzil Dale Jones, Jr. and Delynn Jones; her sisters and brother, preceded her in death. Alma is survived by her son, William Andrew "Andy" Jones and his wife, Jean of New Braunfels, Texas; 14 grand children, David, Tom, John, Delynda, Dana, Tammy, Desirre, Bryan, Christine, Eric, Angie, Will, Barbara Lunning and John Lunning; and many great and great-great grandchildren. She was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and loved by many friends. Famous for her homemade bread, she shared with everyone, she enjoyed playing bridge and going to St Luke's Methodist Church in El Paso, Texas. Ellis Funeral Home, 801 Andrews Hwy, Midland, Texas, held visitation for Alma's family and friends at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 12, 2012. A graveside service followed at Fairview Cemetery.
