Joseph P. Schad, of Kiel, Route 2, a native of the town of Schlewig, died at his home Wednesday evening at the age of 52 years.

He was born April 16, 1898, and was married at the age of 29 at St. Gregory's Church, St. Nazianz. His wife Theresa, survives, together with the following children: Bernard of Cleveland, Route 1; Mrs. Gertrude Litz, of Kiel, Route 1, and Norman, Frank, Josephine, Alois, Bernadette, Raymond, Alfred, Mary, Anita and Roman at home. Five grandchildren; two brothers, Peter of Kiel - Route 1, and Alois of New Holstein, and three sisters, Mrs. Margaret Anhalt and Mrs. Ambrose Knier, of St. Nazianz, and Mrs. Cecelia Scharenbroch, of Kiel, Route 1 also survive. One sister, Mrs. John Scharenbroch, preceded Mr. Schad in death.

Mr. Schad was a member of the Holy Name Society of Holy Trinity Church at School Hill, and members of the Society will hold a vigil at the residence at 8 p.m. Friday.

Funeral services will be held at HOlty Trinity Church at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, following a 9 a.m. services at the residence. The Rev. Arnulf Buck will officiate, and burial will bein the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the home from 6 p.m. today until the time of the services.
