Highway Patrolman Ted Godfrey of Red Oak investigated the accident.
VILLISCA FAMIY INJURED
The other driver was Richard Bruce Orton, 28, Route 3, Villisca. Both cars were demolished.
Johnson was alone in his car and Orion was accompanied by his wife, Arlene, 28, and three children, Cindy, 5; Randy, 4; and Marcy, 3 months. The Hortons were brought to Murphy Memorial Hospital with the aid of the Stanton Fire Department Rescue Unit.
Mr. Orton had cuts, bruises, and shock, and is still hospitalized. Mrs. Orton is hospitalized with a head injury, with her condition listed as "improving." Marcy is in "satisfactory" condition at the hospital with a skull fracture. Randy was treated for cuts and bruises and was released, while City was hospitalized overnight with cuts and bruises.

Ivan Martin Johnson, son of John Alfred Johnson and Ana Charlotta Carlson, was born December 3, 1897 in Stanton, Iowa and passed away December 3, 1962 in Nyman, Iowa. He married Ida Victoria Applequist, adopted daughter, of Simon Theodore Applequist and Effie Otelia Abrahamson, on June 13, 1925 in Stanton, Iowa, by Rev. Everett Johnson. Witnesses were Florence Hoagland and Marion Johnson.
