LILLIE LAGERQUIST DIES SERVICES WILL BE HELD THURSDAY IN ESSEX
Lillie E. Lagerquist, 94, lifelong resident of Page County, died Monday afternoon at the Garden View Care Center where she had been a resident since August 8, 1972. Prior to entering the Care Center she and her husband farmed Northeast of Essex until moving into the town of Essex in 1948.
She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church from which funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday. Rev. John M. Leaf will officiate and interment will begin the Essex Cemetery. Hackett Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Preceding her in death were her parents, John Alfred Johnson and Anna Carlson Johnson; her husband, Harry, son Raymond, daughter Agnes; three brothers, Elmer, Paul, and Clarence Johnson and two sisters, Thyra Rotten and Mamie Falk.
She is survived by one son, Harold Lagerquist and his wife Virginia of rural Essex; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Alice) Swanson of South Bend, Indiana, and Mrs. C. J. (Anna) Liljedahl of Shenandoah; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
A memorial to the Bethphage Mission, Axtell, Nebraska, is being established and memorial contributions may be left wit Mrs. Donald Anderson.
