Born in Burlington, Vt., Sept. 4, 1895 he attended Burlington schools and later located here when he went to work for Massena ALCOA. He retired four years ago. His wife, Mrs. Gladys Locke Andrews, died in 1844 at Brasher Falls. He was a communicant of St. Patricks Church, the Daniel Crowley American Legion Post, and the North Lawrence Veterans of Foreign Wars. Full military rites were accorded by the Daniel Crowley American Legion Post.
Survivors include four sons, Martin and Terrance of Potsdam, Thomas of Winthrop, and Richard of Brasher Falls; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Noreen) Votra, Canton, Mrs. John (Joy) Normile, Brasher Falls, and Mrs. Ralph (Donna) Hourihan of Baldwinsville; a brother, George Andrews, Keesville; a sister, Mrs. Ann Winn, Clintonville; and 13 grandchildren.
Burial was in Fairview cemetery in Brasher Falls.
