She was born on May 17, 1931 in Brasher Falls, a daughter of the late Raymond & Gladys (Locke) Andrews.
She married Elmer Nelson Votra on October 23, 1948.
She thoroughly enjoyed being a Nurse's Aide. She worked for Canton E. J. Noble Hospital, Dr. Shields in Canton as well as being a private home health care provider for Canton area families
Surviving was her husband; her children and their spouses, Donna & David Mattice of Morley; Stephen & Gloria Votra of Heuvelton; Robin & Bill Dafoe of Canton. Tammy & Mike Brown of Canton and Mary Jankiewicz of Camillus; her Fresh Air Child of 40 years, Lynette Pricoli; a sister, Joy Normile of Brasher; two brothers, Richard of Brasher and Terry of Buffalo; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her son, James in 2004.
