                                  Curtis Ray Miller - Grantsville

     Curtis Ray Miller, 76, of Shock, Gilmer County, died Monday
evening at his residence following a long illness. He was born
in Gilmer County, a son of the late Lewis Leroy and Effie Rider
Miller. He was a retired merchant and farmer, and was a mem-
ber of the Shock Church of Christ.
     Surviving are his wife, Pearl Vanhorn Miller; four sons,
Charles Miller and Willard Miloler, both of Garrettsville, Ohio,
George Miller of Windham, Ohio, and Rondel Miller of Norman-
town, W.Va; two daughters, Mrs. Herma Brown of Vienna, W.Va.,
and Mrs. Dorma Hartshorn of Grantsville; three foster daughters,
Mrs. Karen Dickey of Rosedale, W. Va., Mrs. Ruby Cottrille of Nicut,
W. Va., and Mrs. Bobbi Simmons of Parkersburg; three brothers,
Earl Miller and Robert Miller, both of Shock, and Harper Miller of
Windham; three half brothers, Bernard Miller of Garrettsville, Ver-
non Miller of Billings, Montana, and Michael Miller of Letter Gap,
W. Va.; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Wilson of Malta, Ohio; 22 grandchil-
dren, 23 great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four
foster-grand-children. He was preceded in death by a daughter
and a grand-son.
     Services will be held Thursday, 1 p.m. at the Shock Church of
Christ with burial in the Miller Cemetery at Shock. Arrangements
by Stump Funeral Home.
