Dorma Alice Hartshorn, 84, of Grantsville, WV died July 22, 2016 of heart failure at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital, Parkersburg.
She was born May 4, 1932 in Shock, WV, a daughter of the late Curtis Ray and Mary Pearl Vanhorn Miller. She was a member of the Shock Church of Christ. She had worked at Rubber Fabricators and retired from B.F. Goodrich. She dedicated her life to caring for her children, others children including foster children and as a caregiver and friend.

Surviving are her children, Lyle (Judy) of Mineral Wells, Gary (Midge) of Big Bend, Kevin (Stephanie) of Grantsville, Colin (Lorina) of Shock and Carol (Harley) Collins of Petroleum, her grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Boyd, Jeremiah, Gabriel, Cade, Clint, Shayna, Michael, Brittany, Loretta, Scott, Jay, Andrew, Jarad, and Amanda and 26 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, George and Willard; sister, Herma, and dear family friend, George Mouser.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Rondal; a daughter-in-law, Susan and her husband, Boyd, in 1994.

A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. with Evangelist Vernon Kerns officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Collins Community Cemetery, Stumptown.
