MALTA: Gertrude May Wilson 99, of Rt. 1 Malta passed away at the 12:45 a.m. June 29, 2010 at the Riverside Country Care Center in McConnelsville. She was born November 9, 1910 in Shock, West Virginia to the late L.L. Miller and Effie Ryder Miller.
She was a housewife and a member of the Wolf Creek Church of Christ.
She is survived by one daughter, Janice (James) McConkey of Malta; five sons, I. Bern (Lela) Wilson, Jay (Barbara) Wilson, Jerry (Azcal) Wilson, James (Linda) Wilson and Brooks (Carol) Wilson all of Malta; 21 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several great great grandchildren; and one brother, Mike Miller of Parkersburg, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan L. Wilson who died February 12, 1992; one daughter, Eugie M. Mitchell; six brothers, Ray, Earl, Robert, Harper, Bernard, and Vernon Miller; grandchildren, Alan Wilson, Steven Wilson, Jerry Roberts II Wilson, and Cathy Ann Wilson; one daughter-in-law, June Wilson.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 9 Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the Miller-Huck Funeral Home in McConnelsville where services will be at 2 p.m. Friday July 2, 2010 with Harmon Thomas officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Malta. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.miller-huck.com.
