DOROTHY M. DENTON
Dorothy M. Denton, aged 73 of Clare, died on Monday June 1, at her home. She was born on March 21, 1914 in Clare County the daughter of Chester & Bertha (Kube) Spargue. She married Earl R. Denton in 1932 at Farwell, and he predeceased her on Nov. 17, 1977.
Mrs. Denton graduated as a LPN from Central Michigan University and worked at Central Michigan Community Hospital at Mt. Pleasant until her retirement. She was a member of the Clare United Methodist Church and the Clare Rebekah Lodge.
She is survived by 4 sons James Denton of Farwell, Elvis Denton, Gerald Denton and Earl Denton all of Clare and a daughter Mrs. Kent (Janet) Paxton of Brighton; 16 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; a brother Dr. Donald Sprague of Mt. Pleasant; 3 sisters Lucille Ryan of Harrison, Eunice Carter of Mt. Pleasant and Irene Benson of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was predeceased by a son Russell.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 4, 1987 at 11:00 a.m. in the Stephenson-Wyman Funeral Home with Rev. Eugene Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare. Rebekah memorial services will be held on Wednesday June 3 at 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
