Eunice M. Carter, age 78, of Mt. Pleasant, formerly of Clare, died on Wednesday, August 16, 2000, at her residence in Mt. Pleasant.
Eunice was born on November 23, 1921, in Lincoln Township, Clare County, the daughter of Chester and Bertha (Kube) Sprague. Eunice worked many years for the Giant Corporation. She married James K. Reynolds on February 27, 1992. She was a member of the O.E.S. - Clare Chapter and Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Eunice is survived by her husband, James K. Reynolds of Mt. Pleasant; her children, Richard E. (Marian) Williams of Carrollton, Kentucky, and Susan J. (Charles) Behnke of North Muskegon; 3 grandchildren, Karie Williams-Hale, Scott Behnke, and Margaret Behnke; 1 great-grandchild, Rachael Williams-Hale; and 1 brother, Donald (Diane) Sprague of Mt. Pleasant.
Eunice was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Irene Benson, Lucille Beadle and Dorothy Denton; and 1 brother, Ernest Sprague.
Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 19, from Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mt. Pleasant, with Pastor Terry Nordheim officiating. Interment was in Cherry Grove Cemetery in Clare.
