Frank Eugene Owen, 84, formerly of 80 Lori Lee Dr., died at 3:45 PM Saturday, Aug. 3, 1991, in Regency Place where he had lived for the past year. Mr. Owen worked at Alcoa for 32 years and held several positions there before retiring in 1973. He was a carpenter before that and built several homes in the Lafayette area. He was born Jan. 18, 1907, in Lafayette, TN. He lived in the Lafayette, IN, area most of his life, marrying Letha I. Shoemaker Nov. 23, 1932 in Monticello; she survives. Mr. Owen was a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church, and Tippecanoe Masonic Lodge 492. Also surviving is a [step]daughter, Thelma "Sammy" (Mrs. Kenneth) Williams; a son, Robert Owen, both of Lafayette; five grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Service Tuesday, Aug. 6, in Hippensteel Chapel, the Rev. Stephen Beutler officiating; internment Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
