Kenneth LeRoy Williams, 73, died at 8:52 PM Monday, Aug. 3, 1998, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center, where he had been a patient for a month. Born April 10, 1925, at Frankfort, he was the son of the late Russell and Christine (Spencer) Williams. He attended Frankfort High School. He married Thelma (Nightingale) Cook on March 23, 1951, in Lafayette, IN; she survives.

Mr. Williams had been a meter repairman at Landis & Gyr in Lafayette for 37 years, retiring in 1988. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1943-1946. He was a member of Congress Street United Methodist Church and Disabled American Veterans.

Surviving with his wife are a son, Alan L. Williams of Lafayette; a daughter, Lisa (Mrs. Stephen) Mattox of Boca Raton, FL; one sister, Norma Jean (Mrs. Ben) Danaher of Lafayette; and two grandchildren. Preceded in death by infant twins who died shortly after birth, Holly Ann and Corey Lynn; and a brother, Robert Williams.
