Funeral services for Eldon Melvin Miles ,78 of Bonham was held at 2p.m. at Wise Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Everett Springfield officiating assisted by Rev. Don Christian.
Interment was at Arledge Ridge Cemetery. Mr Miles died on Wednesday night at 11:30 p.m. at Baylor Hospital in Dallas. He was born in Branson, Missouri on September 2, 1902 the son of James Robert Miles and Mary Elizabeth Alexander Miles. He married Dassie Cummings on December 5, 1923. He was a retired farmer. He was survived by his wife, Dassie Miles of Bonham; one son, George Miles of Burleson;four daughters, Mrs Mary Helen Berry and Mrs. Cecil Marie, Katherine Stroud of Levelland,and Mrs Wynell Thomas, one son preceded in death Bobby Lee Miles. Brother, Emanuel Elzie "Manuel" Miles of Friona Texas;Brother John W Miles die abt.1921; two sisters, Arvilla "Blackie" Miles Brewer and Elveda Reynolds both of Clovis, New Mexico; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
