Mr. Miles is the beloved Father of my Great Grandfather Eldon Melvin Miles, his brothers John Wesley Miles, Emanuel Elzie Miles, and his two sisters Arvilla Brewer and Elveda Reynolds.Mr. Miles was a lifetime farmer. In his early years, James along with his brothers, Elisha, Emmanuel, and William Marion "Billy" Miles, was apart of the group known as the "Anti- Bald Knobbers" in the post Civil War days in Taney County, Missouri. Mr. Miles' Family arrived in Taney County, Missouri in 1870 where Mr.Miles was born. James Miles married Mary Elizabeth Alexander Miles on June 3, 1894 in Fannin County, Texas. He passed away on April 15, 1955 in Clovis, New Mexico, burial at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wellington, Texas.
