Mrs. Frances Weber, 79, of Elgin, formerly of 417 1st St., Moline, died at 12:15 yesterday morning in Elgin after an extended illness.

Services will be at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon in the Esterdahl Chapel. The Rev. George Hirst, pastor of the Union Congregational Church, will officiate, and burial will be in Moline Memorial Park. Friends may call after 5 tomorrow afternoon at the chapel.

The former Frances Bergert, the daughter of Amos and Elise Bergert, was born March 26, 1880, in Moline. She was married to Benjamin H. Weber on June 23, 1904, and he died on May 2, 1948. Mr. Weber was a member of the Moline fire department.

Mrs. Weber was a member of the Union Congregational Church, the Benevolent Circle of the Church, the fireman's auxiliary, Moline Eagle Auxiliary, and the Moline Turner Auxiliary. She moved to Elgin about a year ago.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roy Johnson, Elgin, and Gertrude, Chicago; a son, Martin, Rockford; two sisters, Christine Bergert and Mrs. Evan Roderick, both of Rock Island; six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Two sisters and a brother, besides her husband, preceded her in death.
