Gertrude Young Burt age 77 of Russellville died Saturday, April 21 at her home.
She was born March 22, 1935 in Dardanelle to the late Clem A. and Ethel Dora Underwood Garner. She was a kitchen manger for Sourdough Sal's restaurant in Alaska. She was a Christian and attended Trinity House of Prayer before moving to Russellville. She was preceded in death by her parents, the father of her children, Clarence Young and also her husband, David J. Burt and two brothers, Bill and William Cossey and one sister, Mary Foshee.
Survivors include five daughters, Maryann Mills of Mt. George; Linda Lee Voss and Paul of Hector; Wanda Mae Level and Donna Young Davis of Russellville; Marcia Kay Tramel and Jerry of Belleville; nine grandchildren, Roy, Kate, Angel, Billy, Gerald, Todd, Michael, Teresa and Kenny; 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, three sisters, AlaMae Sunseri of Modesto, California, Ruby Johnson of Russellville and Modean Claypool of Little Rock.
Graveside services will be Monday, April 23, 2012 at Moores Chapel Cemetery, Waveland with Bro. Jim Duncan officiating. Visitation will be 1 Pm until 2 Pm at Moores Chapel Church.
