Funeral services for Mrs. Emily Spencer Miles, 84, who died Sunday at 9:45am at the family residence, 1911 East 4800 South street, of causes incident to age, will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00pm at 260 East South Temple street.
Burial will be in the Holladay Cemetery. Friends may call at 260 East South Temple street Tuesday between noon and 8p.m. and Wednesday from 9a.m. until time of services.
Mrs Miles was born April 25, 1854 in Nephi. She was the widow of John H. Miles, who died in 1925.
An LDS church member, Mrs Miles was active in Relief Society affairs.
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs Emily Sleight of Paris, Idaho; Mrs Zina Miles and Julia Bray of Holladay; and Estelle M Phillips of Afton, Idaho; five sons, John S Miles of Blackfoot, Idaho; Arthur W. Miles of Shelley, Idaho; Paul S. Miles of Rigby, Idaho; Ralph S. Miles of San Francisco, Calif.; and Angus Miles of Holladay; two sisters, Mrs Almaretta Perkins, Cane Beds, Arizona; and Mrs Elizabeth Sevy of Richfield, Utah; three brothers, John Taylor Spencer of LaVerkin, Utah; Frank L Spencer of St. George and Brigham Spencer of Salt Lake City; 45 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
(Elizabeth and Brigham are half siblings)
