Barnwell - Lois Renew Carson, 87, widow of E.J. Carson II, passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010 in the Medical College of Georgia Hospital. Mrs. Carson was born on March 23, 1923 in Barnwell County. She was the daughter of the late Dave and Carrie Beasley Renew. She was predeceased by her loving daughter, Linda Carson Carroll and brothers, Wallace, Willie, Bobby, Ernest David (Tooney) and William (Bubba) Renew. She was a member of Long Branch Baptist Church and a retired employee of Shuron Inc. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Mole Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Barnwell County Memorial Cemetery at the airport. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday evening at Mole Funeral Home. Survivors include her son, E.J. "Noodie Boy" Carson III of Barnwell; son-in-law, Henry Carroll of Barnwell; sister, Marlene (Carlisle) Holden of Barnwell; brothers, Shellie Renew and Odell (Betty) Renew of Barnwell; grandchildren, James (Carol) Carroll, Todd (Lynette) Carroll, Ely (Delena) Carson, Lynn (Travis) Lucas, Tabitha (Eddie) Pilot and Angela Carson; 12 greatgrandchildren.
