A private service for Mrs. Barbara B. O'Hara of Colorado Springs was Tuesday at Nolan Funeral Home.

Mrs. O'Hara, 88, died Saturday at a local hospital. She was born Dec. 1, 1896 in Pueblo, and had lived in the Colorado Springs area for most of her life.

She was a licensed practical nurse until her retirement.

Mrs. O'Hara was preceded in death by a son, Mr. Robert Jennings, in 1977.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Roberta R. Bennett of Cascade and Mrs. Kathleen Venable of Grand Prairie, Texas; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P. O. Box 26171, Colorado Springs, 80936.

Barbara B. O'Hara, 88, of Colorado Springs died Sunday in a Colorado Springs hospital.

She was a registered nurse.

Private services were held Tuesday at Nolan Funeral Home, 225 N. Weber St. There was a private inurnment.

Mrs. O'Hara was born Dec. 1, 1896, in Pueblo. Her parents were the late Joseph and Eleanor (Abbot) Ledwith.

She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Bennett of Cascade and Kathleen Venable of Texas; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. O'Hara was preceded in death by a son, Robert Jennings, in 1978.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Arthritis Foundation, P. O. Box 26171, Colorado Springs 80936.

As of 2014, the Nolan Funeral Home was out of business, but their records were taken over by Spring Funeral Services, 719-328-1793. I contacted them and found out that Beulah Beach "Barbara" (Ledwith) O'Hara was cremated and that there was no record of what became of her remains.

She is possibly memorialized in New Hope Cemetery, Fremont County, Colorado, USA with her first husband and father of her children, Robert Ray Jennings.
