Ernest Ledwith Dies
Ernest A. Ledwith, 909 Lawrence St., a Santa Fe Railroad engineer before he retired, died Thursday evening in Newman Memorial County Hospital. Mr. Ledwith had been a resident of Emporia since 1918.
Funeral services will be at 2 p. m. Monday in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. They will be conducted by the Rev. Stephen J. Williams, pastor of the First Congregational Church. Burial will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Mr. Ledwith was born June 18th, 1890, in Pueblo, Colo., the son of Joseph H. and Ellinor Abbott Ledwith, and he was married to Josephine Odell on June 8th, 1932, in Salina. He was preceded in death by one son, Alvin, and his is survived by his wife, of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Edgar (Ruby) Roark and Mrs. Fritz (Pearl) Geiseker, both of Denver, and Mrs. David L. (Emma) Cook, Overland Park; one sister, Barbara O'Hara, Cascade, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Ledwith Services Held
Funeral services for Ernest A. Ledwith, 909 Lawrence St., who died Thursday in Newman Memorial County Hospital, were held Monday afternoon in Roberts-Blue-Barnett Chapel. They were conducted by the Rev. Stephen J. Williams, pastor of the First Congregational Church. The soloist was Trevor Lewis, the organist was Mrs. Robert Plummer and the pallbearers were Floyd J. Shomber, J. C. Francis, J. H. Slattery, Hiram C. Harvey, Hans Jensen and Brenton E. Hollingshead. Burial was in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
Relatives who attended from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. David L. Cook and daughters, Overland Park; Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Geiseker, Denver, Colo.; Mr. and Mrs. Edgar D. Roark, Northglenn, Colo.; Lucille Lammon and Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Lammon, Wichita; Mabel Olson, Yucaipa, Calif. and Virginia Luce, Santa Ana, Calif.
