Robert Gordan Rohler, 91, of Sullivan, Indiana began celebrating his new life with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at his home.

He was born on October 17, 1920 in Dayton, Indiana the son of Harry and Harriette Rohler. Robert graduated from high school and was an insurance salesman for several years. He was a member of the Sullivan Wesleyan Church.

Preceded in death by his parents, wife of 68 years; Jennie Dolores "Dee" Rohler whom he married on June 6, 1943, infant son, Robert Joseph Rohler, gandson; Jordan Daniel Hunt, brother; Merle Rohler, and three sisters; Pauline Martin, Faye Cripe, and Ellen Bolyard.

Survivors include his daughter; one daughter, Rebecca (Rev. Gary) Larimer of Sullivan, Indiana, three grandchildren; Samantha, Robert, and Joseph Larimer, two step grandchildren; Lisa (Chad) Chubb and Crystal (James) Knarr, four step great grandchildren; Robert Knarr, Gabriel, Olivia, and Samuel Chubb, one sister; Joy (Don) Schwartz of Lafayette, Indiana, brothers-in-law; Orville (Barb) Chinn of Lafayette, Indiana and Skip (Gladys) Rex of Lafayette, Indiana.

Funeral services will be at 12:00PM, Monday, April 23, 2012 at Wesleyan Church in Sullivan, Indiana with Rev. Gary Larimer and Dr. Dan Willis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant located in Terre Haute, Indiana. Friends may call from 10:00AM until 12:00PM on Monday, April 23, 2012 at Wesleyan Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial contributions be made to the Vista Care Hospice of Terre Haute, or Sullivan Wesleyan Youth Group.

Arrangements entrusted to Banks and Brust Funeral Home, Sullivan, IN.
