Mrs. Cripe was a member of Rossville Bible Fellowship, Present Day Club, Euchre Club and Birthday Club. She sang alto in church choirs and enjoyed cooking, playing euchre and listening to Christian music. Each year she looked forward to springtime, as she was an avid mushroom hunter.

Surviving with her husband are a daughter, Susan "Susie" Elaine Cripe Skiles (husband: Gordon) of Lafayette, and a son, Mark Alan Cripe (wife: Ann) of Rossville.

Faye was a very loving, caring honorable lady. She always looked for the good in all people and situations. She had a strong faith in God and trusted Him fully. She was devoted to her family and her many friends. She came from a family that enjoyed music and she and her siblings often sang for others. During her employment at Purdue, Faye was "mom" to many graduate students, for whom she made special birthday cakes. She wanted to make a difference in the lives of others, without drawing attention to herself. Memorials to: American Heart Association.
