Isaac James Gaskill, son of James and Mary Newingham Gaskill was born in Versailles township, Brown County November 24, 1881. He passed away at Passavant hospital in Jacksonville, Monday, April 4 at the age of 84 years, 4 months and 10 days.
His entire life was spent in Versailles where he was a railroader and junk dealer.
Mr. Gaskill was the last surviving member of his immediate family being preceded in death by his father, mother, two brothers and three sisters. He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the Tarrant Funeral home in Versailles with Pastor George Sites of the Christian church, officiating.
Interment was in the Versailles cemetery.
