BLACKSBURG Cletus McKinley Parker, of Rt. l, the Hopewell Community, died Monday at 12:30 a. m. following a long illness.
A native of Cherokee County, he was the son of the late Frank and Sarah Martin Parker. He was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and a retired textile worker.
Surviving are his wife, Theresa Peeler Parker; two sons, Curtis Parker of Blacksburg and Lewis Parker of Little Rockrk eight daughters, Mrs. Wilburn Martin, Mrs. Jack Davis, Mrs. Boyd Ham, Mrs. Cecil Davidson, Mrs. Geraldine Martin, all of Blacksburg, Mrs. Charles Zebroski of Sewickley, Mrs. Fred Stewart of York and Mrs. Arlene Beaver of Pokeville; 26 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 3 at Hopewell Baptist Church with Revs. Joe Paul Turner and C. E. Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Wayne Davis, Steven Parker, Lamar and LeRoy Ham, Fred Stewart and Stanley Zebroski.
