Blacksburg - Rena Parker Martin, 79, of 490 Wren Wray Road died Feb. 18, 2002, at her home.
A native of Cherokee County, she was the widow of Wilburn Martin and daughter of the late Cletius M. and Theresa Peeler Parker. She was amember of Hopewell Baptist Church and was retired from Burlington Mills, Cherokee Falls Plant.
Surviving are a daughter Linda M. Spencer of Blacksburg; a brother, Lewis D. Parker of Benton , Ark.; five sisters, Theresa P. Davis, Thelma P. Ham, Cecil P. Davidson and Geraldine P. Martin, all of Blacksburg, and Carolyn P. Stewart of Clover; two grand-children and two great-grand-children.
The family will receive friends from 6 - 7:30 tonight at White Columns Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hopewell Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Billy Sanders and Dr. Charlie Bernard. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
