FRANCESVILLE
Melvin L. Myers, 59, of Francesville, died at 4:45 a.m. today in Pulaski Memorial Hospital at Winamac. He had been in failing health four years.
Mr. Myers, a native and life resident of Francesville, was employed by the Pulaski County Highway Department 10 years before retiring. In 1940 he was married at Winamac to Mamie Culp, who survives. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Attica.
Surviving with the wife are three sons, Ronald serving in the U. S. Army in Korea, Donald of Francesville and Melvin David at home; six daughters, Mrs. Anna Marie Wood and Mrs. Sheryl Hunt, both of Monticello, Mrs. Martha Losh of Medaryville, Mrs. Carol Martindale of Star City, Mrs. Janet Haschel of Westville; one brother, Earl Myers of Monon, and four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Schultz of Valparaiso, Mrs. Betty Hoffman of Lafayette, Mrs. Dorothy Batzka of San Pierre and Mrs. Belva Comer of Merrillville.
