Elizabeth Staab, 85, Centennial Towers, died Monday, Aug. 9 at St. Anthony Hospital. She was born in Ellis County on Sept. 10, 1896, the daughter of Michael and Margaret Quint Pfeifer.
She married Edward R. Staab; he died June 11, 1977.
A former Russell resident, she was a member of the Ladies Guild of St. Mary Catholic Church, Russell.
Survivors include four sons, Edwin, Great Bend, Alvin, Thornton, Colo., Robert, Oildale, Calif., and Francis, Hayward, Calif.; four daughters, Mrs. Aurelia Hammerschmidt, Great Bend, Mrs. Lydia I. Sander, Hays, Mrs. Thomas (Margaret) Rush, Kinsley, and Mrs. Ray (Pauline) Nuss, Dallas; 30 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Thursday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church; burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Russell.
