She attended parochial schools in Victoria, Kansas. On 23rd August, 1927, she entered the Convent of the Sisters of Saint Agnes. In 1936, she made her Final Vows.
Her life work has been housework.

Sister Mary Zita Lang C.S.A., 92, a resident of St.Francis Home, passes away Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at St. Francis Home.
She was born Sept. 22, 1908 in Victoria, Kan., a daughter of the late John and Catherine Brungardt Lang.
Sister Mary Zita professed vows in the Congregation of St.Agnes on Aug. 15, 1930.
She ministered as a homemaker and seamstress in New York, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Kansas.
Survivors include two sisters, Sister Catherine Therese Lang C.S.A., of Fond du Lac, and Mrs. Mary Rose Pfeifer of Victoria, Kan.; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Amelia Lang and Mrs. Severina Lang, both of Hays, Kan.; along with nephews, other relatives, friends and members of the Congregation of St.Agnes, with whom she ministered.
Preceding her in death were her parents; seven brothers, John, Leo, Peter, Emanuel, Anselm, and infant brothers, Lioba and Basilia; and two sisters, Angela and Sister Basilia Lang, C.S.A.
