CLAPP, ELIZABETH KAY DALTON - age 70, went to be with Jesus on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012. Kay was a faithful member of Fairview Baptist Church and retired from Knox County Schools where she worked in the guidance office at Gibbs High School. Preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Dale Clapp; parents, Lester and Irene Dalton; sister, Sandra Miller; brother, Roger Dalton; brother-in-law, Jack Grubb. Survived by her son, Todd (Tracy Ann) Clapp and daughter, Tracy (Matt) Lewis, all of Corryton; grandchildren, Adam and Ashton Clapp, Andrew and Allie Lewis, all of Corryton; brothers, Clarence (Jean) Dalton of Greenburg, IN, Gerry (Doris) Dalton of Corryton; sisters, Barbara (Estel) Janeway of Middleton, OH, and Delores Grubb of Maryville. Many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Special friends, Joan Presnell, Judy Robertson, Judy Rucker, and Pat Wortham. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm Tuesday, April 10th at Fairview Baptist Church in Corryton with funeral service to follow. Rev. Jimmy Robertson and Rev. Bryan Wright officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am Wednesday, April 11th at Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel in charge of arrangements.
