Former St. Henry resident Mary “Mamie” Everman, 91, died at 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, September 25, at Briarwood Manor Nursing Home, Coldwater, of complications. She was born on September 28, 1902, in St. Henry to Ben and Catherine (Gehle) Heitkamp, both deceased. On October 25, 1922, she married Lawrence Everman who died on July 21, 1955. Surviving are two daughters, Helen and her husband Norbert Kahlig, Coldwater and Delores Stouder, Beavercreek; a brother, Melvin Heitkamp, Fort Recovery; five sisters, Elizabeth Bruggeman, Coldwater, Rose Schoen, Fort Recovery, Rita Post, St. Marys, Bernie Heitkamp and Cecelia Kuntz, both of Dayton; 25 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren and 17 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, Norbert and Ronald, a daughter, Viola Wuebker, six brothers and five grandchildren. A homemaker, Everman was retired as a cook for the St. Henry Schools. She was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, the Altar Rosary Sodality and the Daughters of Isabella, St. Henry. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. today, Wednesday, September 28, in the church with Rev, Akbert Reed, St. Henry. Calling hours are after 9 a.m. on Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, St. Henry.
