She was born to Bernard and Catherine (Gehle) Heitkamp. On Oct. 24, 1928, she married Lawrence Bruggeman, who preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1987.
Surviving are a son, Lavern (Ginny), Portland, IN; six daughters, Evelyn Sutter, Fort Recovery, Janet (Ernie) Muhlenkamp, Portland, IN, Rosemary (Art) Prenger, Chickasaw, Bernice, Coldwater, Margie Buschur, Celina, and Marlene Calhoun, Arizona; a daughter-in-law, Catherine Bruggeman, Coldwater; two sisters, Rose Schoen, Sharpsburg, and Rita Post, St. Marys; two sisters-in-law, Helen Heitkamp, Fort Recovery, and Edna Heitkamp, Celina; 54 grandchildren, 154 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a son, Leroy; two sons-in-law, Herb Sutter and Richard Buschur; seven brothers, Ray, Bernard, Alphonse, Melvin and three infants; three sisters, Mary Everman, Bernadetta Heitkamp and Cecelia Kuntz; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and St. Ann?s Rosary-Altar Sodality, both of Coldwater.
Funeral Mass was at the church, the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating.
