The sympathy of a host of friends of Ex-Sheriff Lewis Byrd goes out to him in the loss of his wife Anna M. Byrd. She died at her husband's residence on Yakima avenue, No. 1034, on Sunday evening aged 25 years. Mr. and Mrs. Byrd were married about three years ago. She was a Miss Thomas, her parents living in Kent. She had been ill of consumption for several months past, and during the past few weeks she has been failing quite fast. Mr. Byrd had intended taking her to California some time ago, but she became too weak to travel. She leaves two small children. The funeral will take place today from the residence on Tacoma avenue at 2 o'clock p.m.
