William Crocket died at the age of 36 when a shotgun discharged suddenly from a wagon while he was threshing. His family was living in Missouri at the time,but he traveled with a threshing machine during harvest time. His wife, Mary, remarried. They had 4 sons: Frank, Wade, Joe, & Ray.
