Courdes "Butch" B. Cramer, 83, of Moshannon, died Oct. 24, 2011, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born July 10, 1928, in Snow Shoe, he was a son of the late Clinton and Irene Quick Cramer.
Mr. Cramer was the former owner of the Star Garden Bar in Moshannon. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean Conflict from October 1950 to October 1952. He was a heavy equipment operator for Johnson & Morgan Coal Company running a drag line. He was a life member of the SNow Shoe VFW, the Philipsburg Elks and the American Legion, Clarence.
On June 14, 1986, at Moshannon United Methodist Church, he married Judy A. Cramer. She preceded him in death on Nov. 20, 2006.
He is survived by one daughter, Margaret Nastase, of Pleasant Gap; one son, Jeffery L. Chambers, and his wife, Candy, of Julian; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mae L. Uzzell, of Snow Shoe. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by two sisters, Marjorie Petrie and Gladys N. Barnyak; and one brother, Albert F. Cramer.
Funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, at 1 p.m., at the Moshannon United Methodist Church, Moshannon, with Pastor Catherine Dittman officiating.
Family and friends will be received Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, from 6-8 p.m., at Johnson Funeral Home, Rt. 53, Grass flat.
Military honors will be accorded graveside by the Clarence American Legion and Snow Shoe VFW, Oct. 28, 2011. Memorial contributions may be sent to Moshannon United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Catherine Dittman, Moshannon, PA 16859.
