He married Elizabeth Loraine Dusek on February 14, 1931 in St. Cloud, Minnesota. They farmed near Getty Township. Tragically, he died as a result of an automobile accident. Left to mourn his death was his wife; parents; and son, Elmer George Kind. Their daughter, Dorothy Adeline, was born on October 29, 1932. The funeral was held on February 29, 1932.
