Smithwick-Mr. James A. (Al) Smithwick, age 77, of Alpharetta, died Tuesday, January 9, 2007. Mr. Smithwick was a 49 year member of Alpharetta 1st Baptist Church, a Korean War Veteran a devoted father, husband, and super Papa. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Willene Smithwick, daughter, and son-in-law, Pamela and Don DeLaHunt, all of Alpharetta; special brother, Calvin and Charlotte Booth of Atlanta; grandchildren, Dr. Scott and Jessica Turner of Birmingham, AL; Courtney DeLaHunt and fiance' Cabe Waldrop of Boone, NC; Donna DeLaHunt and fiance' Brent Franklin of Birmingham, AL; Thomas DeLaHunt of Savannah; James DeLaHunt of Atlanta; special nephew, Steven and Carmel Booth of Tucker. Funeral Services will be held Friday, January 12, 2007, 2:00 PM in the funeral home chapel. Rev. A.B. Hatfield, Rev. Carl Jameson officiating. Burial, Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated, made to Shepherds Spinal Center, 2020 Peachtree Rd., Atlanta, GA 30305 in memory of Al Smithwick.
