C. H. Marshall, 80, native of Carroll County, died January 24 in a Kingsport Tenn. hospital. He was an egg dealer there.
Surviving are three sons, Taft and Payne Marshall, both of Kingsport, and Granville Marshall, Hyattville, Md.; eight daughters, Mrs. Howard Chitwood, Marion, Mrs. Joe Jennings and Mrs Elmer Montgomery, both of Hillsville, Mrs. Mavan Lewis, Sylvatus, Mrs. Roland Patterson, Abingdon, Mrs. W. A. Megginson, Waynesboro, Mrs. W. G. Thompson, Charleston, S.C., and Mrs. John Whitlock, Kingsport; a brother, Sam T. Marshall, Sylvatus; 33 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral was Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Mafair Methodist Church, Kingsport. Burial was in Knollkreg Cemetery, Abingdon.
