Joseph E. Boone Sr. 76, Indianapolis, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 28, 2008. Joe was born on April 23, 1932 in Bardstown, KY to the late Edward and Marguerite (Owen) Lamar (Note. Should be William Henry Boone and Mary Adeline Owens). He graduated from Sacred Heart High School and served his country in the United States Navy. He was a successful business owner and made a positive contribution to the community throughout his life. His wife of 55 years, Mary W. Boone, sons Michael and Jason preceded him in death. He is survived by a daughter, Marjie of Splendora, TX; five sons, Joseph Jr. of Muncie, IN, Cliff and Kevin of Indianapolis, Darryl of Decatur, IL and Philip of Kerpen, Germany; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and sister, Margaret Norris. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. on Sunday, June 1, 2008 at G.H. Herrmann Madison Avenue Funeral Home, 5141 Madison Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Services will be celebrated on Monday, June 2, 2008 at 9:30 A.M. in the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 435 W. Troy Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46225.
