Louise was the second child of five children born to George Sharp Burt, Jr. and Lilian Emily Frances Blenkarn. She completed her first eight years of schooling at Wabaunsee. Her first year of H.S. was in Manhattan, Kansas and her second year in Topeka, Kansas. Because of ill health she did not finish. She did attend the high school part of Washburn College in Topeka.
Louise married Alva Clyde Grimm (son of Edward Ulrich Grimm and Mattie Cloud Grimm) on 21 Aug 1915 at Topeka, Kansas. Her sister Elsie married Clyde's brother, Frederick U. Grimm the year before. Their children were double cousins. Louise and Clyde had two children:
Willis Clyde
Eloise Julia
Her husband passed away from a heart attack in Boise, Idaho, in October of 1942.
