HENRY STEWART CALLED BY DEATH

Henry STEWART, one of the most highly esteemed residents of this city passed away yesterday morning at 11 o'clock at his home at 602 East Adams street. He had been a sufferer for over a year with kidney trouble, but had been bedfast only one week.

Mr. STEWART was a son of Henry and Ruth STEWART and was born December 22, 1843, in the state of Pennsylvania. On January 16, 1873, at Utica, Iowa, he was united in marriage to Miss Millie Virginia HUGGENS (sic. HUGGINS), who still survives him. To them were born four children, one child, Flora, passing away when a small child (sic. Flora's DOB&DOD and burial location not found in Jefferson county burial listings), and the following are left to mourn his loss: Mrs. Ralph RUSSELL, of Linwood; Wm. E. STEWART and Mrs. O. N. BARTON (sic. Edna STEWART BARTON ), of this city. He is also survived by two brothers and two sisters: James STEWART of Eaglesville, Mo., Cass STEWART of Douds Leando, Mrs. Mary KIRKPATRICK of Pittsburg, Penn., and Mrs. Rebecca TEAL (sic. Rebecca B STEWART TEAL ) of Stockport.

Mr. STEWART has resided here for over twenty years and has long been a faithful member of the Christian church of this city. He was also a G.A.R., having served in the civil war, being a member of the 19th Iowa Infantry.

The funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at two o'clock from the late residence, in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly and the remains will be laid to rest in Evergreen cemetery.

Many friends will extend their sympathy to the sorrowing family in their bereavement.
