Ardmore — AC "Brother Boy" Pickens, age 70, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2012, in Ardmore.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Jehovah Mission Baptist Church with the Reverend Ricky McGee officiating. Interment will follow in Jehovah Cemetery.

AC was born on August 20, 1941, in Ardmore, Okla., to Earl Pickens and Eva (Stevenson) Pickens.

He attended Central Schools at Woodford, then later he went to Graham Schools. AC became a bricklayer and was self-employed for the past 53 years leaving his hand to many businesses and private homes throughout the southern part of Oklahoma. In his youth, he loved fishing.

AC was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his son, Kevin McGee and wife, Jennifer and three grandchildren, Napolean, Jakob and Jazmin; daughter, Clarissa Pickens of Ardmore; sister, Veola Scott of Milo; brothers, Lonnie Pickens of Milo, Earl Pickens Jr., and wife, Janese of Desota, Texas, and Robert Murray and wife, Sally of Dallas, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Nick Brown, Arvel Pickens, Earl Shannon, Samuel Pickens, Tasso Brown Jr., and Delky Godwin. Flower bearers will be Peggy Sue Johnson, Glory Jean Pickens and Emma Prince.
