Luke Williams holds a Master's degree in history from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. His graduate thesis analyzed President Franklin Roosevelt's New Deal work relief programs in Adair County, Oklahoma. Part of this work catalogues and provides photographs of the schools and public buildings constructed by FERA, WPA, NYA, etc. Williams completed undergraduate degrees in history and finance at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He is a member of the Oklahoma Historical Society, The Cherokee National Historical Society, The Goingsnake District Heritage Association, Adair County Historical and Genealogical Association, Preservation Oklahoma, Friends of the Murrell Home, and a member of Old Baptist Mission Church in Westville, Oklahoma.
