George Israel Roach was a tobacco farmer all his life and he was born to William Albert Roach and Sarah Elizabeth Haddock. He married Margaret Virginia Speight 19 Dec 1928. They had 10 children- Halice Durwood(1930-1930), Emma Marie Roach (1932-2022), Sarah Jane (1933-1994), William George (1935-1986), Hilda Ray (1937-1938), Laura Ann (1939-2001), Betty Lou (1941-still living), Bobby Ray (1943-1943) , Dorothy Jeannette (1944-still living) and Carol Diane(1951-still living).
