BATTLE GROUND - Helen Louise Reynolds Dawkins, 95, died at 10:45 AM Thursday, Nov. 26, 1998, in Lafayette Home Hospital Elder Care, where she had been a patient since May. Born Jan. 10, 1903, in Tippecanoe County, she was a 1921 graduate of Battle Ground High School. She was married to J. Ross Dawkins on May 28, 1927, in Lafayette; he died Nov. 4, 1972.

Mrs. Dawkins had been a bookkeeper at S.S. Kresge and a buyer and sales person at Decker's. She was a member of Battle Ground United Methodist Church, Buck Creek Order of Eastern Star, Pleasant Grove Grange, and Americus Quilters Club.

Surviving are a daughter, Shirley D. Smith of West Lafayette; two grandchildren, Denise Alford and Brian Smith, both of Tallahassee, FL; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mary E. Mathis of Nashville, TN.
