Ruth Johanna Bohn Barker, age 87, passed away December 22, 2003 with her best friend and protector Bambi, her chihuahua, by her side, in Taylorsville, Utah. Born August 1, 1916 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Carl and Marie Wichmann Bohn. Married Orrin Boyd Barker December 26, 1936 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on May 5, 1959. He preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, James B. Barker of Magna, Utah; daughters, M. Renee Morgan of Taylorsville, Utah, Sharon L. Whitaker of Rockledge, Florida, Linda L. Campion of Taylorsville, Utah; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; seven and a half great-great-grandchildren; brother, Alma W. Bohn of Salt Lake City, Utah; sisters, Darline Cantonwine, and Shirley Cameron both of Salt Lake City, Utah. Preceded in death by her husband and grandson, David Barker. Funeral services will be held Saturday, 10:00 a.m. at the McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, where friends may call Friday, 6:00- 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, 9:00-9:45 a.m. Interment: Fairview City Cemetery.
